I have re-imagined this piece. While brining her out of her boring and traditional brown, I imagined she had a story to tell...

Meet Sophia. "Sophia once lived in France where she was in charge of keeping her misses elegant baubles and secret letters safe. But then the war broke out, and in a rush to leave the country her misses gutted her of her precious stones and ran off into the night. Suddenly, Sophia was empty and cold, left behind to the elements of the abandoned home, alone and exposed for years. Some of her beautiful finish had tattered and her golden pulls faded. All she needed was a bit of love to revive her now rustic beauty and someone to trust her again with their precious jewels..."

These are the thoughts that were running through my head when I was creating her. She is now a work of art and ready to protect your beautiful baubles and secret treasures.

Sophia has 4 re-lined drawers, and a top tray for rings. The bottom two drawers are undivided and ready for your special lacy undergarments.

The paint I've used is a clay based, NON-TOXIC and does not have any VOC's. It is DIY paint by Debi's Design Diary. It has also been sealed with BigTop a water based silica sealer.

Sophia is a well-made piece of furniture and has the potential to be passed on for generations. All it takes is a little love and respect for the work, creativity and restoration put into her, and she will keep your precious and personal items protected for you for years to come.
