Indigo Floral Jewelry Box, Hand Painted, Shades of Blue, Green and White

Meet Indigo Floral named after the paint inlay I used to impress the floral painted flowers into the wet blue foundation paint.  Once the floral impression was completely dry, I hand painted in all the white and green areas to make the florals pop off it's blue background.  The process of impressing the blue paint into the light blue paint leaves a leathery look to the piece and it feels leathery when it's been sealed.  It's a fabulous texture you just want to run your hands over. 

The exterior was completely sealed with two coast of satin clear coat.  Of course the paint is plastic free, has NO VOC's and NO toxins, so there will be NO off-gasing of paint fumes in your home.  I was also waxed with one coat of clear wax and once coat of white waxed and then buffed to a soft satin muted sheen.

The interior was stripped completely, cleaned and sanitized and relined with a deep royal blue velvet.  The walls inside the doors and the sides of the drawers have been decoupaged with complimentary artwork. 

Each door has 4 hooks for necklaces and there are 3 trays for jewelry and perfumes.

The top tray under the mirror measures 7.5" x 7" x 1 3/4"deep.

The 1st drawer measures 7" x 6 3/4" x 1 3/4"deep.

The bottom drawer measures 7" x 6 3/4" x 3 1/4"deep.

Overall measurements are 13"L x 10.5"W x 9" (front to back)

This is a Bombay chest that is very well made and I can see this being passed down as a family heirloom if taken care of.
